West Middle School Apartments
The West Middle School Apartments was a school renovation/rehabilitation converting the old West Middle School in Auburn, New York into 59 apartments as well as two commercial spaces, an auditorium currently rented by The Rev Theatre Co. in Auburn as well as Unity House, our partner in the project. The project has xx units of DOH Certified Beds, as well as xx units of Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) apartments for those who xxx. As part of the project, the school was listed on the National Historic Register of Buildings and the project utilized Historic Tax Credits (HTC).
The project utilized Office of Mental Health Capital dollars ($4,456,583) during construction. The permanent sources of financing are as follows; Net Operating Income supported Housing Finance Agency (HFA) Mortgage ($620,000), an OMH supported Mortgage ($4,450,000), Low Income Housing Tax Credit Equity ($6,499,658), Supportive Housing Opportunity Program (SHOP) Mortgage ($2,750,649), NYSERDA Grant ($55,400), Deferred Developer Fee ($420,571)
